Lanes on both sides of the 210 Freeway reopened Tuesday morning after an overnight closure due to a semi-trailer truck crash in San Dimas.
The crash occurred just after 1:40 a.m. on the west 210 Freeway just east of North San Dimas Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said. The truck struck the center divider, skid along it before the front cab of the truck overturned and broke part of the center divider, Villalobos said.
The impact of the crash sent debris all over the westbound lanes as well as the eastbound lanes.
At least one person was transported to a hospital, Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Michael Pittman said. Details regarding the person's condition were not immediately available.
There were four patients located at scene but it was unknown whether the patients were from the initial impact of the semi-crash or from a separate crash due to the debris in lanes, Pittman said.
CHP shut down both sides of the 210 freeway for a couple of hours before opening up the two right lanes on each side for traffic, Villalobos said. Intermittent closures were to take place while Cal Trans worked on repairing the center divider and cleaning up the debris, officials said.
