A man and woman were taken into custody near a country club following a police pursuit that began in Beverly Hills on Wednesday morning.
The incident began when officers approached a suspicious car reported in a Beverly Hills alley about 8:45 a.m., according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The driver took off and led police on a brief pursuit that included a crash at Burton Way and Doheny Drive and ended in a home's driveway next to the Hillcrest Country Club near Roxbury and Monte Mar drives.
Aerial footage showed officers with guns drawn blocking several small streets and cul-de-sacs in the surrounding neighborhood. Some residents were evacuated during the search.
Two people, a man and woman, were taken into custody with the help of a police dog, aerial video showed.
"It appears they could've been involved in some residential burglaries, it does appear there's some stolen property inside the vehicle," said Sgt. Blake Nance of the BHPD. "But of course we're going to have to verify that and do a follow-up."
Editor's Note: A previous version of the video was removed from this article after police notified NBC4 that the female suspect is a juvenile. In the current version, we chose to blur her face.
