Police Wednesday released a sketch of a suspect in a Pasadena home invasion robbery that left a victim with stab wounds.

Officers responded about 1:55 a.m. Saturday to a report of a stabbing victim in the 1900 block of East Villa Street, according to Pasadena Police Lt. Jesse Carrillo.

"Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered the victim bleeding profusely," Carrillo said. "Pasadena Fire paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and transported the victim to a local hospital."

The victim was treated for his wounds and remains in stable condition, Carrillo said.

"The preliminary investigation revealed that two armed suspects committed a home-invasion robbery, injuring one victim and taking personal items from the home before fleeing by unknown means and in an unknown direction," Carrillo said.

One of the suspects, who was clad in dark clothes, was described as 19-24 years old, 5-feet-11 inches tall with a medium build.

No description of the second suspect was immediately available.
