Four or five gunshots rang out in an Inland Empire city Thursday morning, one of which left a man bleeding in the middle of a residential street, witnesses said.
Rialto police responded to the shooting, in the 200 block of West South Street, at about 10:45 a.m., according to Capt. Andrew Karol of the Rialto Police Department.
People who knew the gunshot victim, a man in his early 20s, gave the man aid, Karol said.
He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, said Karol, who did not know the man's condition.
Police had no description of the suspect and did not know if the shooting was gang- or drug-related.
