One person was killed early Monday in a series of crashes that involved at least six vehicles on a freeway in San Bernardino.
The first crash was reported at about 4:30 a.m. on the northbound 215 Freeway near Fifth Street. At least two other crashes occurred within minutes of the initial collision.
Initial reports from the California Highway Patrol indicated up to six vehicles were involved in the crashes.
All northbound lanes were closed for the crash investigation.
Two people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
