Dodgers GM to Meet with Manny Ramirez's Agent This Week

Scott Boras and Ned Colletti are going to sit down and have a discussion this week. Boras, Manny Ramirez's incomparable agent, will be working the Dodgers GM for a massive offer. Even if Manny doesn't intend on staying in Los Angeles, Boras needs a large offer to up the antes from every interested party. He also wants a high offer, I'm sure, because he represents Mark Teixeira. The bar needs to be set high, so poor Scott can make all the money he can this offseason.

I mean, it's not like his asking price is too unreasonable.

Boras said the 36-year-old Ramirez is worthy of a six-year deal, arguing that his client's value shouldn't be diminished by his age because he hasn't shown any signs of deterioration at the plate. The agent said he expected Teixeira, 28, to get an even longer deal.

So Manny's gonna stay interested long enough to play until he's 42? Really? How many changes of scenery will he need when the novelty wears off or a bad stretch hits?

You know what's funny? He'll probably get the six years. They'll find a sucker, probably one named Hank.
