It's not just another weekend at the beach in Santa Monica.
The Copa Cabana Beach Soccer Tournament is scheduled for June 13 and 14 in Santa Monica. But hurry -- the deadline to sign up is June 8.
The competition includes youth teams in the 9- to 18-year-old bracket and adult squads -- men, women and coed. They'll compete to play in the National Cup Playoff.
The finals are scheduled for Sept. 11-13 in Las Vegas.
The tournament is free to watch.
Five-on-five games are played on a 30-by-40-yard sand court. About 600 teams are expected to register for this year's event, according to Beach Soccer Promotions.
