High-Tech Football Helmet Aims to Help Detect Concussions

A new high-tech helmet with built-in accelerometers may better help protect young athletes from concussion. The sensors transmit an electronic signal to the sidelines when a player takes a head-on collision. Westlake High School is one of the schools across the nation to install the technology this past season. Gordon Tokumatsu reports from Inglewood for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2013.
