One person was killed when a tire that fell off a car flew across the highway and struck another vehicle in Santa Clarita on Wednesday.
The incident happened on the southbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Placerita Canyon Road in Santa Clarita around 4 p.m., according to reports from the scene.
The carpool lane and three left main lanes on the southbound side of the freeway are closed, and a SigAlert has been issued.
