A brush fire burned about four acres in the Angeles National Forest above Pacoima Sunday evening, authorities said.
The flames ignited about 8:05 p.m. near 3155 Stonyvale Road, between Big Tujunga Canyon Road and Little Tujunga Canyon Road, L.A. County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Ed Pickett.
"It's burned between three and four acres, but we have it surrounded at this point," Pickett said at 9 p.m. "It's a one alarm fire, which means we have at least 45 firefighters at the scene."
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said the county has the lead on fighting this fire because of its location inside the national forest.
But the city fire department was supplying assistance under the Mutual Aid Agreement, Humphrey said.
"So far, we have 50 firefighters and three water-dropping helicopters at the scene working on the fire," Humphrey said.
No injuries have been reported.
