Preventing Breast Cancer Misdiagnosis
One in 100 women get the wrong biopsy diagnosis and unnecessary cancer treatment because of mistakes that happen in the lab, but a new test aims to prevent those lab errors. The test works by making sure the result the patient gets is their own and not mistaken with another patient’s results. Dr. Bruce Hensel reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on July 18, 2012.
