$24 Million Verdict for Teen Paralyzed in LAPD Shooting
Rohayent Gomez-Eriza, who goes by Ryan, was 13 years old when he was paralyzed from the chest down in a shooting involving the LAPD in Glassell Park in December 2010. A jury awarded the teen a $24 million verdict. Gomez-Eriza says the money “helps, but it’s not the important thing.” Jane Yamamoto reports from Montebello for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2012.
