Wayfinder Family Services is the place to turn for people facing the greatest challenges. Formerly known as Junior Blind of America, we remain committed as ever to the blindness community but have also expanded to meet the needs of children and families facing different challenges. For example, we assist medically fragile children who are in the foster care system, as well as children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.
The Wayfinder Paralympic Games offers exciting Olympic-style competitions for blind, visually impaired and multi-disabled athletes ages 6 to 22. Volunteers assist in running competitions, food service, registration, and act as athlete escorts. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to witness Wayfinder athletes overcome obstacles and build confidence. Minimum age requirement is 16. To volunteer, click here.
