Chiquita Canyon landfill to stop solid waste operations

The Chiquita Canyon Landfill, which has generated thousands of odor complaints over the past year and has been targeted in lawsuits by Castaic-area residents and Los Angeles County, will halt its solid waste operation on Wednesday, the operators announced Tuesday.
