Since 1925 El Nido Family Centers has been empowering families in low-income communities of Los Angeles County to break the cycle of poverty, child abuse, violence, academic failure, and teen pregnancy through outstanding educational, youth development, health and therapeutic services. More than 10,000 children, youth and family members annually benefit from services at El Nido Family Centers’ facilities in Pacoima, Mission Hills, South Los Angeles and Compton.
El Nido Family Centers is seeking volunteers who wish to share their interests and skills with families in the most high-need areas of Los Angeles County by participating in the development and facilitation of workshops. Topics may include: computer literacy, music, art, creative writing, cooking, financial literacy, social media or any other areas of expertise. The need is great for these youth who lack the enrichment opportunities of those who are more fortunate and have greater financial resources. To volunteer, click here.
