The mission of Helpline Youth Counseling (HYC) is to serve at-risk children, youth and families by promoting the development of strong individuals and families in their community. Founded in 1971, HYC is one of the largest nonprofit youth and family service organizations in Southeast Los Angeles County, delivering direct services to approximately 6,000 children, youth and family members each year, 95% of whom are low-income.
