LA's BEST provides a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for children ages 5 to 12 in Los Angeles. Serving communities that have the highest need and fewest resources, LA’s BEST provides students with help with homework, a learning activity that boosts core academic skills such as reading and math, something that’s new and just plain fun, and a nutritious snack.
Help a child become a proficient reader and foster a love of reading. We’re looking for volunteers, age 50 and older, to tutor K-3 students in small groups during after school hours.
