Missing German Hiker Is Experienced Outdoorsman

A 62-year-old German professor, in California for a work conference, has been missing since he went on a hike in the mountains above Lake Arrowhead Tuesday afternoon. Friends of Alois Krost say he is an avid outdoorsman, making them optimistic he will be found safe. Tony Shin reports from near Lake Arrowhead for NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2013.
