Doctor-Shooting Suspect Seemed to be Counting Final Days: Neighbors

Neighbors say Stanwood Elkus, 75, spoke often of his health problems and referred to “not being around much longer” days before he was arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting his physician at a Newport Beach medical office.
