WWII Hero Receives Royal Pardon 60 Years After Suicide

Englishman Alan Turing’s codebreaking skills helped the Allies win WWII. But the persecution he suffered for being a homosexual is said to have led to his suicide just a few years later. Nearly 60 years after his death, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has issued a posthumous royal pardon for the government’s treatment of Turing.
