The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Thursday that the former wife of a Woodland Hills physician who was murdered in an ambush-style attack outside his office has been arrested. Eric Leonard reports for NBC4 at 6 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2024. 

Numerous law enforcement officers could be seen at a home inside a gated community in Calabasas Thursday, which property records show is tied to the former wife of Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, the physician who was murdered in an ambush-style attack in Woodland Hills. The man arrested for the murder of Dr. Hamid Mirshojae had a warrant out for him while the woman was arrested in April on a separate charge.

Ashley Rose Sweeting, 40, of Reseda and Evan Harman, 41, of Tomball, Texas were arrested on Tuesday, the LAPD said.
