Planning a kid's birthday party?
It can be the intense focus on many discussions, discussions related to where to have it, what the theme might be, what treats to serve, and such.
A Kidspace's birthday party? As in, a celebration for the lauded Pasadena children's educational museum, which is turning 40 in 2019?
That's quite the different matter, but no less special than an at-home festivity.
For Kidspace Children's Museum has created imaginative activities, inspirational adventures, and nature-based beauty for thousands of Southern California kids over its four decades of service.
That service will be celebrated with a weekend-long Birthday Bash on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 at the Rose Bowl-close institution.

No presents will be required on your part, except, you know where we're going here, your presence at the party.
Admission to Kidspace gets you into the birthday proceedings, which will include the making of birthday hats, birthday games, and, oh goodness, a confetti blast.
A DJ'll give the fun a thump-thump beat, too. In fact, DJs are a regular sight, or rather sound, at the museum, a place that regularly encourages movement, dance, and expression, in addition to scientific curiosity and joyful play.
The Birthday Bash isn't the only thing going for Kidspace's 40th; there are several weekend to-dos, if you and your tots want to stay in the celebratory swing.
Check out everything that's coming up at the Pasadena gem here, including Slime Time and Water Play events. It's part of the Museum's "40 Days of Fun!," which is on through Aug. 16.
When you think back on it, how many mud pies has your child made at the museum over the years? How many storytimes has she enjoyed? How many butterflies has she released?
