A man wanted in a robbery was killed in a police shooting at the end of a pursuit Friday on the 10 Freeway in the East Los Angeles area.
Details about the investigation were not immediately available, but authorities said the man was wanted in a robbery earlier in March in Los Angeles. The driver, who was the only person in the car, fired at officers during the brief chase, police said.
The driver got out of the car near Eastern Avenue and ran across freeway lanes. Officers returned fire, and the man died at the scene on a freeway ramp near a McDonald's.
