A crash involving a Honda Civic and a tanker truck carrying fuel closed lanes on the 605 Freeway for several hours Tuesday morning in Industry.
The southbound San Gabriel River Freeway was closed after the crash and fuel spill near the 60 Freeway interchange at about 1:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fuel spill prompted the CHP to close the Nos. 1 through 4 lanes of the freeway until further notice. Traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Valley Boulevard, the CHP said.
The tanker was pulled upright at about 7 a.m. Southbound lanes reopened at about 8:30 a.m.
No serious injuries were reported. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
