...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY AFTERNOON FOR GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY FOR MOST OF VENTURA COUNTY AND WESTERN PORTIONS OF LOS
ANGELES COUNTY...
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is
in effect from Tuesday evening through Thursday afternoon.
* WINDS...Northeast winds will increase rapidly to 20 to 35 mph
with gusts between 40 and 55 mph. Isolated higher gusts to 60
mph possible in wind favored locations in the western San
Gabriel, Santa Susana, and western Santa Monica Mountains. Winds
strongest Tuesday night into Wednesday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Humidities will dropping to between 10 and
20 percent by late Tuesday night and early Wednesday as the
drier air mass spreads in.
* IMPACTS...If fire ignition occurs, conditions are favorable
for rapid fire spread and extreme fire behavior which would
threaten life and property.
